Sales Demonstrator & Installer

Location: Based at Luton, covering Luton, Tingewick & Reading

Oliver Agriculture was the first independent CLAAS dealer and now operates from 5 branches across the south of England. In addition to CLAAS, Oliver Agriculture offers a wide range of supporting products from market-leading franchises, including Horsch, Bunning, Dal-Bo, and Spearhead. We are looking to recruit a Sales Demonstrator & Installer at our busy Luton branch. Whilst this role is based at our Luton branch, you will provide support for the Luton, Tingewick and Reading Sales Teams.

The role of Sales Demonstrator & Installer is a varied and practical position. Experience in operating modern farm machinery, precision farming and connected systems is essential and knowledge of CLAAS and Horsch equipment would be an advantage.

Any candidate will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to develop strong relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers. You must be a self-motivated and well-organised individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team. 

Reporting to the Sales Directors, the successful applicant would be expected to, but not limited to, the following tasks:

  • Preparation and installation of machines for demonstration:Responsible for the daily maintenance and cleanliness of each machine.
  • Collating demonstration reports: Keeping an up to date record of all demonstrations, including customer details.
  • Assist with machine handover to customers and provide follow up checks, care, assistance and training. 
  • Installation of GPS and Telematics systems on machines and training for operators.
  • Assist with organising operator training events and training presentations.
  • Assist with setup and organising company events and shows.

About You

  • A confident and capable operator of modern farm machinery.
  • Have a good understanding of modern farming electronics, GPS systems and Telematics.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confident using computer systems and internal platforms.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Customer‑focused, organised, and proactive.
  • Have a full UK driving licence.
  • A forklift and telehandler, PA1 and PA2 certificate would be an advantage.
